Kings and Queens was formed in 2004 after a huge demand for a local art club run by experienced teachers and staff. It began after school in a teachers' classroom, where more lengthy, exciting and daring projects could be undertaken. Requests were then made for holiday art clubs so that children could develop skills and enjoy art out of school. Kings and Queens is about children’s needs and enjoyment. Creativity is celebrated and encouraged. Children who love art have the opportunity to extend their knowledge and learn about other successful artists and craftsmen. Kings and Queens boosts confidence and self esteem and faces children with new challenges for which they use their learnt skills to conquer.
